Sighaty vs Genie AI: which fits your contracts in Saudi Arabia?

An international tool that drafts and negotiates with AI, and a Saudi library of 67 certified templates in Arabic and English: what each one really offers, where it is stronger, and when to choose it.

If you look for a tool to draft your business's contracts in Saudi Arabia, you will usually meet two names from two different worlds: Genie AI, an international AI drafting platform that publishes thousands of template pages labelled for the Kingdom, and Sighaty, a Saudi library of certified templates issued in Arabic and English. From a distance the two look alike, since both promise a ready contract in minutes, but after that they differ in almost everything: how the text is produced, the language, the currency, and who stands behind the drafting.

We wrote this comparison while being one of the two sides, so we held to one rule: every fact about Genie AI comes from its public pages as they appeared on 3 October 2026 and is attributed to them, and whatever we could not verify we say plainly that we could not verify. You will find clear places where Genie AI is stronger, and places where Sighaty simply does not offer what you need.

The verdict: two tools for two different jobs

Genie AI is a drafting and negotiation tool: it writes a draft of almost any type of contract, reviews the other side's draft and suggests changes to it, works inside Word, and, as it says, serves business teams in more than 150 jurisdictions. Sighaty is a defined library of 67 Saudi templates, each certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer, where you answer short questions and a Word document comes out in Arabic and English together. The first is wider and more flexible; the second is narrower and closer to Saudi law and the Arabic language.

  • Genie AI suits a team that works in English, negotiates varied contracts, and needs a tool that reads and edits other people's drafts.
  • Sighaty suits a Saudi small or medium business that needs familiar recurring documents, from the services agreement to the internal work regulation, with Arabic and English text ready to sign and a price in riyals including VAT.
  • Using both suits a foreign-owned company that negotiates in English and then needs an Arabic version fitted to Saudi law for what it signs here.

What Genie AI is, and what Sighaty is

Genie AI is an international AI contract drafting platform, aimed according to its pages at business teams in general across more than 150 jurisdictions, not at Saudi businesses specifically. Its Saudi presence is a large set of auto-generated template pages under the /en-sa/ path of its site, about 5,744 URLs in its sitemap, including NDAs, employment contracts and leases. These pages carry wording such as “Jurisdiction Saudi Arabia”, “Cost: Free to use” and a “Last updated” date, and invite you to download a template they describe as Saudi Arabia-compliant.

These pages name two reviewers who are Genie AI staff, each titled “Legal Engineer, GenieAI”, and the same two names recur on more than one Saudi page we saw; we did not see a Saudi-qualified reviewer named. The platform's terms of use state: “We do not provide or offer professional legal, tax, regulatory, financial, or other advice.”

Sighaty is a Saudi platform that sells 67 certified templates in seven packs: employment and HR, commercial contracts, company formation and governance, digital and e-commerce, debt collection, property and lease, and intellectual property and data. Each template is certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer and is updated as Saudi law changes on the paid plans. You answer a short smart-fill questionnaire, your details are placed in the right spots of the certified master and the variants that fit your case are selected, and one Word file comes out in Arabic and English. The legal wording is the certified text itself, and Sighaty does not use AI to write or review contracts.

Head to head on what matters

  • What you get: Genie AI lists more than 500 templates on its pricing page, alongside drafting, review and negotiation tools that work on almost any contract. Sighaty gives you 67 defined documents for the Saudi market, and no more.
  • How a document is produced: in Genie AI, the AI writes or edits the draft according to your request, so the text changes with what you ask for. In Sighaty the text is not written afresh: your answers set the details and the pre-drafted variants inside the certified master.
  • Language and file format: we found no evidence that Genie AI produces documents in Arabic or in two languages, we saw no Arabic interface, and its pricing page mentions “10+ languages” under the Enterprise plan without naming Arabic. Sighaty produces one Word file combining Arabic and English, and the Arabic text prevails on divergence.
  • Price and how you pay: Genie AI prices are in US dollars only, with no riyal pricing and no mention of VAT, even on its Saudi-labelled pricing page. Sighaty prices are in riyals and include 15 percent VAT, payment is by mada, Visa or Mastercard, and invoices are ZATCA tax invoices.
  • Who stands behind the text and how it stays current: Genie AI names reviewers from its team titled Legal Engineer, and its terms state that it does not provide legal advice. Sighaty templates are certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer and are updated as the law changes on the paid plans, while the Free plan does not include law-change updates.
  • The free plan: Genie AI's Free plan costs nothing and, according to its pricing page, includes limited AI tokens and more than 500 templates, but “Exports locked until you upgrade”. Sighaty's Free plan needs no card: you pick 3 of 9 everyday documents to keep, plus the compliance calendar, without smart-fill.
  • Extras: Genie AI has an AI legal editor for Word and Excel on the Pro plan, company knowledge, a team playbook, saved company templates and smart forms on the Business plan, and SSO and an API on the Enterprise plan. Sighaty has a compliance calendar with reminders, a document vault, review-link sharing, and one 30-minute review with a licensed lawyer per calendar quarter on Business Plus.

In numbers, as they appeared on 3 October 2026: Genie AI's Pro plan for one user is $75 a month, or $59 a month billed annually ($708 a year); its Business plan for five users is $320 a month, or $259 a month billed annually ($3,108 a year); and Enterprise starts from $600 a month. At Sighaty, Essential is 99 riyals a month (950 riyals a year) for the core 30 templates, Professional is 249 riyals a month (2,390 riyals a year) for the whole library, and Business Plus is 599 riyals a month (5,750 riyals a year), and a single template can be bought for 99, 199 or 329 riyals. We did not convert currencies, because what matters more than the exchange rate is what you actually need from each tool.

Where Genie AI is stronger

  • Free-form drafting of any contract: Genie AI drafts countless contract types, while Sighaty cannot produce a document outside its list of 67 templates.
  • Reviewing and negotiating the other side's contract: the Pro plan lists AI review, redlining and negotiation, a service Sighaty does not offer at all, since it cannot review a contract someone else sent you.
  • Working inside Word and Excel: a legal editor that works where your team already works, without moving files between platforms.
  • Geographic breadth: more than 500 templates across many jurisdictions, which helps a company that contracts in more than one country.
  • Teamwork: the Business plan covers five users with shared company knowledge, a team playbook and saved company templates, and Enterprise adds SSO and an API. A Sighaty account belongs to one person, with no team workspaces or roles.
  • A free tier of the same tools: the Free plan opens the full toolkit with limited tokens, so you can test how it works before you pay.
  • Speed for English-language work, in a product that its pages aim at in-house legal, sales and procurement teams for day-to-day use.

Where Sighaty is stronger, and where it stops

  • Saudi scope only: every one of the 67 templates is written for the Saudi market and certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer, so you know who stands behind the text.
  • Arabic and English in one file: an authoritative Arabic text and its English counterpart in one Word document, with no translation step afterwards.
  • Local payment: a price in riyals including VAT, mada, and a tax invoice that fits your books.
  • Fixed certified wording: smart-fill places your details and selects pre-drafted variants without rewriting the clauses, so what comes out is what was certified.
  • Fit with the government platforms: the employment contract is documented on Qiwa and the lease is registered on Ejar, and Sighaty covers the surrounding documents no government body issues.

On the other side, these are Sighaty's limits as they are, and it is better to know them before you decide:

  • No AI: no free-form drafting and no assistant that answers your questions.
  • No review of other people's contracts: if a client or supplier sends you a contract, Sighaty does not read or edit it.
  • A fixed library of 67 documents: if yours is not in it, Sighaty will not make it for you.
  • No e-signature, and no team workspaces or roles.
  • It is not a law firm and does not represent anyone in a dispute, and there is no live consultation except the quarterly review on Business Plus.

Choose Genie AI if, choose Sighaty if

  • A foreign-owned company that works in English and has received a long draft from a large client to negotiate: Genie AI fits the reading, editing and negotiation step better, then have the Arabic version and the Saudi-law fit checked before signing, with a lawyer if the deal is large.
  • A small business serving clients in the Kingdom that needs a contract with an authoritative Arabic version, starting from its own paper rather than the other side's: Sighaty, with the Services Agreement template C-01.
  • An HR team that needs the internal work regulation E-07 and warning letters E-10: Sighaty, with the employment contract itself documented on Qiwa.
  • An unusual contract that is not in any familiar Saudi library: Genie AI for a first draft, or a lawyer, because Sighaty does not have it.
  • A team of several people that needs shared tools and SSO: Genie AI, since a Sighaty account is individual.
  • Use both: Genie AI to negotiate the other side's contracts in English, and Sighaty for your recurring documents where you hold the pen, from services agreements to staff regulations.
  • A live dispute or a court claim: neither one, but a lawyer.

How we checked this

We visited Genie AI's public pages on 3 October 2026: the pricing page and its Saudi-labelled version, several template pages under the /en-sa/ path, the sitemap, and the terms of use. We did not sign up, buy anything or click the download button, so we did not verify whether downloading a template from pages described as “Free to use” works without sign-up, or whether it goes through sign-up and the export lock that the pricing page states for the Free plan. We did not test the quality of the AI output, nor whether prices change by country.

Facts about Genie AI were taken from its public pages on 3 October 2026, and prices and catalogues change, so check the current page before you decide. If anything here is out of date or wrong, tell Sighaty support so it is corrected. Sighaty templates are certified drafts and a strong starting point, not a substitute for advice on a specific case or a live dispute, and where the Arabic and English differ, the Arabic text prevails.

Frequently asked questions

Is Genie AI better than Sighaty for company contracts in Saudi Arabia?

It depends on the job. Genie AI is stronger at drafting any type of contract in English, at reviewing and negotiating the other side's draft, and at teamwork inside Word. Sighaty fits better when you need a recurring Saudi document certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer, with Arabic and English text in one file and a price in riyals including VAT. Neither one wins on everything.

How much does Genie AI cost in Saudi Arabia?

According to its pricing page and its Saudi version on 3 October 2026, with prices in dollars only and no mention of VAT: Free costs nothing with limited tokens and locked exports, Pro is $75 a month or $59 a month billed annually, Business for five users is $320 a month or $259 a month billed annually, and Enterprise starts from $600 a month.

Does Genie AI write contracts in Arabic?

We found no evidence that it does. Its Saudi pages are in English, we saw no Arabic interface, and the pricing page mentions “10+ languages” under Enterprise without naming Arabic. One of its pages says Saudi agreements “must be written in both Arabic and English to be fully enforceable, with the Arabic version taking precedence”. What our guides state is narrower: a document submitted to or invoked before a Saudi authority needs Arabic wording, and a bilingual version with a clause giving the Arabic text precedence on divergence is safer for anyone dealing with non-Arabic speakers.

Are Genie AI's Saudi templates reviewed by a Saudi lawyer?

The pages we saw name two Genie AI staff reviewers titled “Legal Engineer”, the same two names recur across pages, and we did not see a Saudi-qualified reviewer named. The platform describes its templates as Saudi Arabia-compliant, which is its own description. Its terms state that it does not provide legal advice.

Can I use Genie AI and Sighaty together?

Yes, and for many companies it makes sense. Use Genie AI where you need free-form drafting or a review of a contract the other side sent you, and use Sighaty for your recurring Saudi documents with their Arabic and English text. Sighaty does not review what you wrote in Genie AI, though, so if the contract matters, have its Arabic version and its fit with Saudi law checked by a lawyer before signing.
