Sighaty vs Adel: certified templates or an AI legal assistant?
Adel is an AI legal assistant that drafts documents, reviews them and answers questions, and Sighaty is a library of certified Saudi templates with fixed wording. Two products different in nature, each suited to a different user.
Many business owners arrive at the same question: should I subscribe to an AI app that writes any contract I ask for, or buy a certified ready-made template? Adel and Sighaty are clear examples of the two paths. The first is an AI legal assistant that drafts, reviews and answers, and the second is a fixed-size library of certified templates that AI does not write.
We are Sighaty, so we know a comparison we write about a competitor deserves scepticism. That is why this page follows one rule: every fact about Adel comes from its public pages and the app stores as they appeared on 3 October 2026, anything we could not verify we say we could not verify, and we state plainly where Adel does better, which is in more than a few places.
The bottom line before the detail: if you are a lawyer, a consultant or an in-house legal team drafting and reviewing varied documents every week, Adel is probably the better fit for you. If you are a small business owner or an HR officer who needs a certified Saudi document without legal expertise, Sighaty fits better. And a business may need both.
Browse the certified template libraryThe short verdict: who Adel is for and who Sighaty is for
Comparing the two is not a comparison between good and bad, but between two tools each designed for a different job. Adel is a working tool for someone with the legal expertise to judge and edit what the AI drafts, and Sighaty is a ready document for someone without that expertise who wants certified wording that does not require a legal judgement from them.
- A lawyer, consultant or legal department drafting and reviewing many varied documents: Adel is probably the better choice.
- A small business owner or HR officer who needs a standard, certified Saudi document without legal skill: Sighaty is the better fit.
- A business that needs both: Sighaty for certified standard documents, and Adel to review a draft sent by the other party.
What Adel is, and what Sighaty is
Adel describes itself on its site as an AI legal assistant, and the operating entity named in its terms of use is Adel Information Technology Company (شركة عادل لتقنية المعلومات). It speaks first to legal professionals: according to its pricing page the Basic package is for legal professionals, individuals and small teams, and the Premium package is for companies. It says it is trusted by more than 30,000 lawyers, consultants and law firms, a figure it publishes and we have not verified. On the Saudi App Store its app was rated 4.6 out of 5 from 691 ratings when we looked on 3 October 2026. What it offers, according to its pages, is:
- AI drafting of documents through what it calls a smart questionnaire, producing a document in a signature-ready format within minutes.
- Automated document review that it says detects gaps, inconsistencies and compliance issues and flags risks.
- An 'Ask Adel' legal Q&A service that it says answers on the basis of Saudi laws, with a laws library it says is updated daily and an automated verification layer that checks the answers.
- Template, clause and laws libraries. Its app pages on the Apple and Google stores say the library holds more than 70,000 legal documents, including regulations, laws, circulars and judicial decisions, a figure Adel publishes and we have not verified, and we found no counts on its site for the template and clause libraries.
- Legal translation between Arabic and English, team workspaces, and apps for iOS and Android.
Sighaty, by contrast, is a library of 67 certified templates in seven packs: employment and HR, commercial contracts, company formation and governance, digital and e-commerce, debt collection, property and lease, and intellectual property and data. Each template is certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer and kept current as the law changes. You answer a short questionnaire, the certified template text is assembled with your details in the right places, and you receive a bilingual Word file. AI does not write the text or review it.
Head to head: what matters when you choose
- What you get: Adel drafts documents without a closed list, reviews documents and answers questions. Sighaty gives you 67 specific documents only, so if your document is not in the library you will not find it.
- How a document is produced: in Adel, AI drafts the text from your answers to the smart questionnaire. In Sighaty the legal wording is fixed and certified in advance, and the questionnaire only places your details and selects the matching variants.
- Language and file format: Adel works in Arabic and English and offers translation, and neither its site nor its two store listings say whether the document comes out as Word or PDF. Sighaty produces a bilingual Word document, and the Arabic text prevails where the two differ.
- Price and how you pay: Adel's Basic package is 124 riyals a month and Premium is 165 riyals a month, with instalments through Tamara and Tabby. Sighaty has a Free plan, Essential at 99 riyals a month, Professional at 249 riyals a month and Business Plus at 599 riyals a month, or a single template for 99, 199 or 329 riyals with no subscription, paid by mada, Visa or Mastercard.
- VAT, annual price and refunds: we found no mention of VAT on Adel's pages, when we clicked its annual toggle the prices stayed the same so we found no annual price, and we found no refund policy. Sighaty's prices include 15 percent VAT, its plans have published annual prices, and its refund policy is published.
- Trying it: Adel has a 'try free' button that leads to registration with no stated trial terms. Sighaty has a Free plan with no card where you keep 3 of 9 everyday documents, plus the compliance calendar.
- Who stands behind the text and how it stays current: on the pages we read, Adel does not mention review of documents by a human lawyer, and it describes an automated verification layer and a laws library it says is updated daily. In Sighaty each template is certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer, and the text is updated as the law changes on the paid plans.
- Usage limits: Adel's pricing page lists 25 created documents and 10 reviews on Basic, and 50 documents and 25 reviews on Premium. Sighaty gives five smart-fill documents a month on Essential, and no monthly cap on Professional.
- Extras: Adel offers translation, team workspaces, an editor with comments and tracked changes, and mobile apps. Sighaty offers the compliance calendar with reminders, the document vault, review-link sharing, and on Business Plus one 30-minute review with a licensed lawyer each quarter.
Where Adel genuinely does better
These are real points in Adel's favour, and we expect its own team would agree with them:
- Free-form drafting: it drafts documents outside any fixed list, so if you need an unusual agreement you will not hit the edge of a closed library as you would with Sighaty.
- Reviewing other people's contracts: it reviews a document another party sent you and flags its risks, which Sighaty cannot do at all.
- Legal questions: 'Ask Adel' answers questions on the basis of a Saudi laws library, without a limit on Premium, and Sighaty offers no Q&A service.
- Legal translation between Arabic and English for your own documents, while Sighaty is limited to its own documents, which are bilingual from the start.
- Teamwork: team workspaces, up to 15 on Premium, while a Sighaty account belongs to one person with no roles.
- Mobile apps on iOS and Android, while Sighaty works in the browser.
- A low entry price: 124 riyals a month for a drafting, review and Q&A tool, with the option of instalments through Tamara and Tabby.
- The breadth a lawyer or in-house legal team needs, dealing every day with documents no fixed catalogue covers.
Where Sighaty does better, and where it falls short
- Certified wording, not generated: each template is certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer, and the wording is fixed and reviewed, so the text does not change from one request to the next.
- You do not need legal expertise to judge the text, which is the core difference for a business owner or HR officer.
- Published prices including VAT, published annual prices, and a written refund policy.
- Buying a single document without a subscription, and a Free plan with no card, so you do not pay monthly for a document you need once.
- A compliance calendar with reminders, and no monthly document cap on Professional.
Sighaty's limits are just as clear: no AI drafting and no Q&A, no review of a contract someone else sent you, no e-signature, no team workspaces, no bespoke drafting, and no consultation with a lawyer except one 30-minute review each quarter on Business Plus. The library is 67 documents only, so if your document is not among them, Sighaty will not make it. And Sighaty is not a law firm and does not represent anyone in a dispute.
Decision rules for real situations
- Choose Adel if you are a lawyer or consultant drafting varied documents daily and you have the expertise to review what the AI writes.
- Choose Adel if you have an in-house legal team that needs shared workspaces and reviews of supplier and customer contracts.
- Choose Adel if your document exists in no fixed library, provided you have it checked by a specialist before signing if you lack legal expertise.
- Choose Sighaty if you are hiring and need the offer letter, the regulation, the annexes and the letters around the contract documented on Qiwa.
- Choose Sighaty if you are opening an online store and need a privacy policy and a returns policy in certified wording, or you need an NDA or a demand letter, and those last two are among the documents available on the Free plan.
- Use both if your business relies on Sighaty for its standard documents and turns to Adel to review a draft contract sent by a customer or supplier.
How we checked this comparison
On 3 October 2026 we read Adel's homepage, pricing page, 'Ask Adel' page and terms of use, and its app pages on the Apple and Google stores, and we clicked the annual toggle on the pricing page without registering or buying anything. Where we did not find something we wrote that we did not find it, and the user numbers and library size we repeat are Adel's own published figures, attributed to it and not confirmed by us. Sighaty's details come from the product itself on the same date.
Facts about other companies were taken from their public pages on 3 October 2026, and prices and catalogues change, so check the current page before you decide. If anything here is out of date or wrong, tell Sighaty support so it is corrected. Sighaty's templates are certified drafts and a strong starting point, not a substitute for advice on a specific case or a live dispute, and where the Arabic and English texts differ the Arabic text prevails.
Frequently asked questions
Is Adel better than Sighaty for a small business owner?
It depends on what you need. If your document is a standard one, such as a job offer letter, an NDA or a returns policy, and you lack the legal expertise to review text written by AI, Sighaty's certified wording fits better. If you need documents outside any fixed library, or reviews of contracts others send you, Adel offers what Sighaty does not.
How much does Adel cost?
According to its pricing page on 3 October 2026: the Basic package is 124 riyals a month and the Premium package for companies is 165 riyals a month, with instalments through Tamara and Tabby. We found no mention of VAT, no annual price because the prices did not change when we clicked the annual toggle, and no refund policy. Check its current page before subscribing.
Does a lawyer review the documents Adel drafts?
On the pages we read we found no mention of a human lawyer reviewing Adel's output. Adel describes an automated verification layer that checks the answers, and its review is described as smart review. In Sighaty, each template is certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer before it is published.
Can Sighaty review a contract someone sent me?
No. Sighaty does not review other people's contracts and does not use AI for drafting or review, which is one of the places where Adel does better. What Sighaty offers is your own certified version of the document to compare against or propose instead, and a 30-minute review with a licensed lawyer each quarter on Business Plus only.
Can I use Adel and Sighaty together?
Yes, and the two products do not conflict. Many businesses need certified standard documents for daily work, which is where Sighaty fits, and sometimes need a quick review of a draft sent by a customer or supplier, which is among what Adel offers. For large contracts or disputes, advice from a lawyer remains the right call.
