Hoquqi alternatives: your options for ready-made Saudi legal documents
Not everyone looking for an alternative has a problem with Hoquqi; many simply need a different document. This guide sorts your options by what you need, and says plainly when you do not need to switch.
Hoquqi is a law firm in Madinah that sells legal documents and consultations through a store on the Salla platform. When someone looks for an alternative, the reason is usually not a fault in Hoquqi but that the document they need is not on sale in the store on the day they look, or they need it in another language, or they want a different way of preparing it.
We are Sighaty, one of the alternatives we will cover, so we start with the cases where Hoquqi is the right choice, and we name alternatives other than Sighaty when they fit better. Every fact about Hoquqi and others comes from their public pages on 3 October 2026.
Browse the certified template libraryWhy people look for an alternative to Hoquqi
Hoquqi shows a gallery of 69 items on its site, priced between 50 and 200 riyals per document, and the gallery says purchase happens through the store. But when we checked the store on 3 October 2026 it listed only seven products: four consultations and three bundles. We did not find the single documents from the gallery in it, and its contracts category was empty. We do not know why. But someone who reached the gallery looking for an NDA or a commercial lease and then did not find it in the store will naturally look elsewhere.
- HR documents: the gallery lists 16, all marked coming soon, and the store has a recruitment bundle of 15 forms covering the vacancy, screening, the job offer, onboarding and a confidentiality undertaking; we did not find an employment contract or warning letter in its description.
- Debt collection: we did not find standalone documents for it; what exists sits only inside the financial fraud bundle, namely a demand for return of funds, an acknowledgment of debt and a rescheduling agreement.
- Language: the gallery says documents are issued in Arabic unless stated otherwise, so anyone who needs an English version for a foreign employee or partner needs another source.
- How documents are prepared: Hoquqi delivers editable Word files that the buyer completes, and some people prefer the document to come out ready from their answers.
- Stated terms: we found no statement on Hoquqi's pages about VAT inclusion, no refund policy and no last-updated date per document, and some buyers want these in writing before paying.
When staying with Hoquqi is the right call
Before looking for an alternative, make sure you are not leaving something that actually suits you. Hoquqi is a law firm, it says its lawyers drafted and reviewed the documents before making them available, and its store puts the document and the lawyer in one place. In these cases specifically you may not find a better fit:
- You need a lawyer's view on one issue at a low price: a consultation in its store is 99 riyals for thirty minutes.
- You work in construction: the construction contracts and management bundle of 20 forms costs 450 riyals, with a specialised construction consultation available.
- You have been hit by financial fraud: the protection and recovery bundle of 20 forms costs 350 riyals, with a financial fraud consultation.
- You may later need representation in a dispute, and you want the firm that prepared your documents to be the same one.
- You prefer one-time purchases per item with no subscription.
The real alternatives, by type
- Government platforms: if an authority issues or documents the document itself, the right alternative is not a template at all. The employment contract is documented on Qiwa, the lease is registered on Ejar, the promissory note is created on Nafith, the enforcement request is filed through Najiz, and powers of attorney go through the Ministry of Justice services. Their limit is that they do not issue the rest of a business's documents, such as the work regulation, an NDA or a demand letter.
- A lawyer by the hour or by the matter: the best fit when there is a live dispute, a large transaction, or an unusual document that needs bespoke drafting. Its limit is cost and time when what you need is a recurring operational document.
- Free templates on law firm sites: useful for understanding a contract's structure and clause order before you decide. Their limit is that many have no update date and no party responsible for the text, and they need review before you rely on them.
- International AI drafting platforms: such as Genie AI, which publishes Kingdom-targeted template pages. Good for a quick English draft. Their limit is that prices are in dollars, with the Pro plan at $75 a month according to its pricing page on 3 October 2026, we did not find Arabic named among its languages, and its free plan says exports are locked until you upgrade.
- A certified Saudi template library such as Sighaty: suited to recurring operational documents in Arabic and English. Its limit is that it is a fixed catalogue, and it is not a law firm.
Where Sighaty fits as an alternative, and what you give up
Sighaty has 67 templates certified under the name of a licensed Saudi lawyer in seven packs, and the gaps described above are exactly what it covers: the employment and HR pack of 18 templates includes employment contracts, the internal work regulation, warning letters and termination documents; the debt-collection pack of 7 includes the demand letter, the acknowledgment of debt and payment scheduling; and the e-commerce pack of 8 includes online store terms and conditions. You answer short questions and a Word document in Arabic and English comes out in minutes, with stated prices including VAT: a free plan where you pick 3 of 9 everyday documents, subscriptions from 99 riyals a month, or a one-time template purchase at 99, 199 or 329 riyals depending on complexity.
What you give up by moving is real and you should know it: the lawyer in the same store, since Sighaty offers no live consultation except one 30-minute review per quarter on the Business Plus plan at 599 riyals a month. You give up the construction and financial fraud bundles, which have no counterpart at Sighaty. You will not find review of a contract someone else sent you, bespoke drafting, or representation in a dispute. And if your document is not in the catalogue, Sighaty cannot make it.
Practical steps before you decide
- List the documents you actually need in the coming months, not what you might need someday.
- Separate out what a government body issues or documents, such as the employment contract on Qiwa and the lease on Ejar, since these start at their platforms.
- Open the Hoquqi store and check whether your documents are on sale today, since the gallery and the store may differ.
- Check the rest of the list against Sighaty's catalogue, and note what neither covers.
- Try Sighaty's free plan on a real document you need, and compare the result against what suits your business.
- Ask about terms before paying: whether the price includes VAT, what the refund policy is, and how updates reach you.
- Decide document by document, since the best answer may be to use more than one source.
Who should not switch
- Anyone who bought the construction or financial fraud bundle and it covers their need, since Sighaty has no counterpart to either.
- Anyone facing a live dispute who needs a lawyer to follow their facts, since a template from any source does not replace that.
- Anyone who values the author of the text being the same firm that will advise and represent them later.
- Anyone who needs a document that is in the Hoquqi store today and is not in Sighaty's catalogue.
Facts about other companies were taken from their public pages on 3 October 2026, and prices and catalogues change, so check the current page before you decide. If anything here is out of date or wrong, tell Sighaty support so it is corrected. Sighaty templates are certified drafts and a strong starting point, not a substitute for advice on a specific case or a live dispute, and the Arabic text prevails where Arabic and English diverge.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Hoquqi in Saudi Arabia?
It depends on what you need. For documents a government body issues, the alternative is the platform itself, such as Qiwa, Ejar and Nafith. For a live dispute, a lawyer who follows your case. For recurring operational documents in Arabic and English, such as employment contracts and demand letters, a certified library like Sighaty. For construction and financial fraud bundles, Hoquqi may remain the better fit.
Does the Hoquqi store sell the single documents shown in its gallery?
When we checked the store on 3 October 2026 we did not find the gallery's single documents for sale; the store listed four consultations and three bundles, and its contracts category was empty. We do not know why, so check the store before relying on the gallery.
Where can I find a bilingual Arabic and English employment contract instead of Hoquqi?
The employment contract is documented on Qiwa, and a template prepares you for what you will enter and covers the surrounding documents. Sighaty's employment and HR pack of 18 templates is issued in Arabic and English in one document, with the Arabic text prevailing on divergence.
Is there a free alternative to Hoquqi's documents?
Templates published free on law firm sites are useful for orientation and understanding structure, and need review before you rely on them. Sighaty has a free plan with no card where you pick 3 of 9 everyday documents plus the compliance calendar, but smart-fill and law-change updates are not included in it.
