The final settlement is the document that closes an employee's file once service ends. Written well it ends the relationship for good; written in haste it leaves the door open to a later claim. What ruins it most often is stating a single lump sum without breaking it down, because an employee who cannot see how the end-of-service award was computed does not feel they are releasing anyone. The final settlement is a written, signed statement setting out what the employee became entitled to at the end of service and what was actually paid. A company needs it in every end-of-service case whatever the reason: resignation, non-renewal of a fixed-term contract, termination on notice, or dismissal. It equally serves the employee, because it gives them a clear statement of their dues instead of a bank transfer with no explanation. The settlement together with the worksheet turns the figure from an assertion into a calculation that can be reviewed line by line.

The smart-fill asks for the employee's name, ID or Iqama number, and job title, then the start date, the end-of-service date, the length of service in years, months, and days, and the reason service ended. It then moves to the figures: the final wage including allowances, the end-of-service award amount, other dues such as the leave balance and wage arrears, and the deductions, with a field to describe any other regular allowances that enter the calculation. Finally it asks for the IBAN or its last digits and the payment date. The worksheet has its own question for the number of completed months in the final year of service.
